A Russian missile attack has damaged infrastructure and an Antigua-flagged civilian ship at the Ukrainian port of Odesa, according to the regional governor on 20th September, Reuters highlights.
Kiper stated that debris, likely from an Iskander-M missile, caused damage to port facilities, civilian infrastructure, and a civilian ship registered under the flag of Antigua. The Iskander-M is a ballistic missile capable of flying at supersonic speeds with a range of up to 500 km (310 miles).
The ship was transporting metal products. Last week, Ukraine accused Russia of striking a civilian grain vessel with a cruise missile while it was en route from Odesa to Egypt near Romanian waters.
As informed, an Antigua-flagged cargo vessel named Golden Lion was docked at the Port of Odesa.
Russia has frequently targeted the port since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
