Setel Hellas strikes Gold with its Innovative Maritime ICT Solution

Setel Hellas won the Gold Award in the “Strategy, Innovation & Extroversion”category at the Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards for the benefits of its innovative Maritime Telemedicine Solution (MTS) to the whole maritime industry.

The Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards 2015 Ceremony was held on Thursday, the 23rd of July 2015 at Balux Prive& Dreams, during a celebration dedicated to highlight technological leadership, innovation and business value of technology.

Executives from Setel Hellas attended the ceremony where Mr. G. Christakos, Sr. Customer Solutions Manager, received the Gold Award noting: “We, at Setel Hellas are proud to be recognized for thethird consecutive yearfor our innovative Maritime Solutions.We prove this way that Setel Hellas keeps up with the latest technologies and our work and business expertise is widely recognized”.

Setel Hellas was awarded with the Gold Award, as the provider of an Innovative Solution / Service, its Maritime Telemedicine Solution (MTS) which is being employed with respect to the dignity and safety of the human being and of the inalienable right of seafarers to health care.

MTS is not just a Solution but adynamic and holistic approach that may coverevery aspect of the crew health on board, including incidents such as cardiovascular diseases, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, breathing problems and many more. The treatment of each incident is being handled every time according to the specific onboard conditions. No longer does practicing medicine requires the patient and the physician to be in the same place. Ships can become more safe workplaces by providing access to superior medical health care.

The ceremony, attended more than 350 executives of the IT and Communications market as well as academics. There, the best ICT practices utilized by businesses and organizations both in the private and public sector were presented and awarded. The Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards 2015Ceremony was held for the fourth consecutive year by Boussias Communications magazine, netweek with the scientific support of the Laboratory of Electronic Attempting (ELTRUN) Athens University of Economics.
