The Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports participates at Seatrade in Miami with a packed programme.
MedCruise, the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports, will once again be present at Seatrade Cruise Global 2025, taking place from 7th to 10th April at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Now in its 40th year, the event brings together the global cruise industry with more than 600 exhibitors and over 70 cruise lines in attendance.
The Association has planned a comprehensive line-up of activities, including participation in high-profile panels, video interviews, and presentations, highlighting the Mediterranean region’s strategic role in cruise tourism.
On Monday 7th April, Theodora Riga, President of MedCruise and President of the Corfu Port Authority, will represent MedCruise during the World Cruise Tourism Summit: State of the Cruise Industry – Regional Updates from Around the World discussion panel, taking place from 1200 to 1240 in the Sunset Vista Ballroom. The President will present MedCruise’s vision on sustainable port development, innovative itineraries, and enhanced guest experiences. On Tuesday 8th April, from 1600 to 1730 in the Lincoln Road EF the President will deliver the much-anticipated “Trends in the MED” session, where she will share key data on cruise activity across the region, highlight ongoing initiatives, and outline strategic priorities. A cocktail reception will follow, offering an informal networking opportunity.
Also on Tuesday, Anne-Marie Spinosi, Senior Vice President of MedCruise and Cruise Manager Corsica Ports, will participate in the panel “Advancing Sustainability in the Cruise Industry: Challenges, Solutions, and Collaborative Action”, scheduled for 1400 to 1445 in Lincoln Road BCD. The session will bring together senior industry figures to examine shared challenges and explore coordinated, actionable solutions to support long-term sustainability.
Laura Cimaglia, Vice President of MedCruise and Director of General and International Affairs at the Port of Taranto, will speak at the session “Navigating Prosperity: The Economic Impact of Cruising on Local Economies” on Wednesday 9th April, from 1145 to 1230 in the Lincoln Road BCD. She will address the vital role of cruise tourism in driving local economic development, showcasing best practices and regional success stories.
Further enhancing the week’s programme, many representatives from Port and Associate members will be participating in discussion panels and presentations.
