The report “Greening of European Sea Ports” co-authored by Maria Boile, Sotirios Theofanis, Frank Stevens, and Christian Hauschildt has been officially published on the European Commission website.
The study provides insights into the environmental challenges faced by the European ports and offers practical guidance for improving their environmental performance while achieving sustainability goals. It highlights:
– Challenges to implementing green initiatives
– Good practices and adaptable strategies
– A roadmap for ports, service providers, and other stakeholders
– A special focus on supporting smaller ports with limited capacity
The report is a resource for fostering knowledge-sharing and driving positive environmental change across the maritime sector.
